  FADIE ROBERT "BOB" Age 92, of Naples, Florida, previously of Detroit, Boyne City and Cadillac Michigan, died peacefully March 5, 2014. Preceded in death by wife Anna of 54 years; sister Lorraine; brother Gordon, and grandson, Preston Heald. Survived by daughter Diane (Fred) Heald; son, Chuck Smith (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Trevor, Sara, and William; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Phyllis; and many nieces and nephews. Bob served in the US Army Air Force from 1942-46, in the Michigan National Guard for two years, then as a City of Detroit police officer for 30 years. He saw himself as an ordinary man. To us, he was a great man because he selflessly served God, his country, and his family. A private memorial is planned.
