    • Isaac C Friesen "Ike" was born near Jansen Nebraska on 10 December 1882 the son of Isaac B and Catharina (Classen) Friesen. He attended Jansen schools until the seventh grade. In about 1916, Isaac went into a partnership with his brother Frank selling Dodge cars.
      At the age of 35 years, Isaac registered for the draft. He is listed as not married, short, stout, blue-eyed dark-haired man. His residence was 523 5th and F St., Fairbury, NE, which was the upstairs to the Dodge dealership. In the 1920s the dealership switched to Chrysler-Plymouth cars. Then after many years of courtship, he married Mary Bartel on October 19, 1919, she was the daughter of Jacob F and Katharina (Flaming) Bartel. He must have decided it was time for change, so he dropped out the partnership with Frank to become a partner with his other brother John, running the Home Oil Company filling station in Fairbury.
      In 1930 Isaac was managing an oil station living at 1025 D St., Fairbury, NE with his wife and three children Russell which was born in 1919, Robert which was born in 1921, and Raymond which was born in 1922, also living with Isaac and Marie is Marie's mother Catherina Bartel and her two brothers John and Henry Bartel. In 1940 Isaac and Marie are living at 820 9th Street, owner of the garage. In 1941 Isaac and his brother John sold the company and moved Sterling IL. They opened a Furniture and Antique store.
      Isaac and his wife, his brother John and his wife decided to move to Pasadena CA. He was working as a car salesman at the time of his death. Their residence was 1640 Walnut St., Pasadena. He died March 28, 1950 at Huntington Memorial hospital, Arcadia. He is buried at Mountain View Cemetery and Mausoleum, Altadena, Los Angeles County, California.
