- Samantha Lynn Vogel, 21, Mandan, passed away tragically on Nov. 20, 2011, in a car accident near Buffalo, S.D., along with her grandmother, Judy Hampton. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at First Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Allen Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church.
Samantha was born Nov. 3, 1990, in Newcastle, Wyo., to Stacy Vogel and Candace (Hampton) Triplett. She was raised and educated in Bismarck, where she graduated with honors from South Central High School in 2010. She was currently studying zoology at Bismarck State College, and working as a hostess at Famous Dave’s Restaurant and as a cashier at the Dollar Store in Mandan. Previously, she worked for KT Animal Supply.
Samantha loved animals, her siblings and all children. She had a collection of animals, loved strays (whether they were animals or people), the outdoors, camping, fishing and mud running. Her Grandma Judy was a huge part of her life, and now in death they are forever together.
She is survived by her parents, Candy Triplett, Bismarck, and Stacy Vogel, Casper, Wyo.; her fiance, Jason Freidt, Mandan; her sister, Emily Triplett, and her brother, Brady Triplett, both of Bismarck; her grandparents, Donna Winters and Les (Bev) Vogel; her aunt, Ricki Vogel; her uncles, James Hampton and Vernon (Margaret) Vogel; and numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Samantha was preceded in death by her grandpa, Jim Hampton; her great-uncle, Tom Fawcett; and her great-grandpa, Rolland Kutzler.
The Samantha Vogel and Judy Hampton Memorial Fund has been established at Wells Fargo Bank.
