  Donald James Hartnagle, 55, of Midland, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, from injuries sustained in an ORV accident. He was born on March 8, 1954, in Saginaw, son of Betty (Teall) Hartnagle and the late Peter A. Hartnagle. He attended Bullock Creek Schools, graduating from Bullock Creek High School in 1972. Don had worked as a team leader for the S.C. Johnson Co. in Bay City for 28 years. His hobbies included riding four-wheelers, boating, riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, yard work and a special love for deer hunting. He was an avid outdoorsman. Surviving is his mother, Betty; three brothers, David and Patty Hartnagle and their children, Jason Hartnagle, Patrick Hartnagle and Patrick's children Layla and Maddox, and by Patrick's fiancé Brittany Hill, Greg and Calleen Hartnagle and their children, Eric Hartnagle and fiancé Sandy Zito, and Amanda Hartnagle, Thomas Hartnagle and his children, Ashley Hartnagle, Elizabeth Hartnagle and Tommy Hartnagle, and by Thomas' fiancéé, Becky Wilkinson. Don is also survived by his former wife, Karen (Rytlewski) Hartnagle; and his best friend for over 35 years, Jim Nagle; and by his two dogs, Browning and Misty; also Don's girlfriend, Lori. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010, from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler St. Deacon Aloysius Oliver of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church will officiate. Don's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and on Friday from 1 p.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider your local humane society for the love of dogs which was Don's passion.
